Among psychics, he is famous for the thousands of paranormal readings given under an unconscious state of relaxation and meditation.

In the beginning the readings were medical, but as the readings progressed there were hints of controversial concepts of karma and reincarnation.

Cayce demonstrated his psychic abilities on diagnosing and healing people at a distance; making diagnoses through astral projection; prophesying; communicating with the dead; providing advice on healing diets; and accessing the Akashic Records or Book of Life.
